Exotic Wood Veneers
PDF Download: Exotic Wood Veneer Flyer PDF
We've added a collection of exotic veneers, such as Zebrawood, Lyptus, Wenge, and
Quartered Walnut. These unique wood species offer a range of grain patterns from mild,
evenly colored English Sycamore, Quartered Cherry and Wenge to decidedly wild American
Red Gum and Zebrawood. We put a Natural finish on each species so that the full effect
of natural variations in color, texture and grain may be appreciated.
Exotic Wood Veneers are offered through our Euro line of frameless cabinetry
in the door styles shown below. Color and grain variations should be expected between
doors and drawer fronts and from one cabinet to the next. These are natural characteristics
of wood and are not considered a defect.
Please note that Exotic Wood Veneer styles have a 6-week lead-time.
Cabrillo
Cabrillo is a vertical grain style available in the single species shown below.
Veneers are not sequentially matched, so there will be variations between doors and
fronts on the same cabinet and adjacent cabinets.
Staccato
Staccato is a 3-piece door with vertical grain "stiles" and a horizontal grain center
panel, available in the combinations shown below. Veneers are not sequentially matched,
so there will be variation between doors and fronts on the same cabinet and adjacent cabinets.

American Red Gum: Wild & Wonderful
We wanted to highlight the beauty and unpredictable nature of this North American
hardwood. Red Gum veneer will range in color from pale, pinkish brown to deep red, and
may include blue-gray tones and even dark brown or black streaks. The bold, prominent
grain patterns will vary between door and drawer fronts on the same cabinet and on
adjacent cabinets, yielding a colorful, dramatic appearance. The doors below are an
example of some of the patterns and colors you may see side-by-side. Fabulous!
Designing with Red Gum
When designing with American Red Gum, keep in mind that this veneer is not
sequentially matched. That means that every door and drawer front is likely to
have a different color and grain pattern. It's a great look when all the doors
are in a horizontal line, but can get pretty busy when doors and/or drawers are
stacked on top of each other, as seen in the images below. (Shown on Cabrillo -
the look will not be as pronounced with Staccato.)
The designs below showcase a variety of ways to use Red Gum as a striking
focal point or accent to another species.
